Sunday without Sermon

September 17, 2008

“One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out” Micah 2:13

For the first time since I don’t know when, the Spirit of God moved mightily last Sunday and it swept through the entire English Service like an astonishing waves from heaven.

Pastor Irene led the entire congregation into a time of worship thru the guidance of the Spirit together with Steve Lam and the worship team. The preaching was not in sermon, but in action for about 45 minutes. Words of exhortation and songs of praises were a constant edification to the congregation.

Pauline Chen came out half way through to speak with Pastor Irene about the Word of the Lord that was impressed on her heart and Pastor Irene read the Word of God from Matthew 12:13

It was a beautiful sight to see people lifting their hand to the Lord as they pour out their hearts to the Lord.

If you too were overwhelmed by God, I would like to hear from you about your experience or you can voice out any enquiry onto my blogs. Do put comments on this article and revisit this article from time to time to read from others.

Let us testify for the glory of God and give Him praise together!

Miracle Helping Hand

Every Thursday is my spring cleaning day – sweeping floor, mopping floor, washing Cagiva and washing car.
A sign of good parenting is the teaching of house chores from young.
Miracle is indeed blessed with great parents

Why Worship?

September 5, 2008

We spent four days for a Worship Conference recently that spans over the Merdeka Day. It was a 4-days saturated with worship and more worship. Over 500 people attended the nightly rally while about 160 attended the daily conference.

God moved in an awesome way, Christ was accepted and Holy Spirit touched the lives of many as electrifying worship and inspirational sermons flooded the entrie conference.

However, one question still remains in my mind:
Why do we as Christian need to worship God?

Why do we need to worship God in a corporate setting (coming together to worship?)

Why Christian need to worship God in song and in music? Jesus emphasized on the Word and on the Lord’s Prayer. He preaches and teaches when He walks the earth.

He never emphasize on worship as in music.
He never had great sound system, smoke machine, crazy lighting, jumping and hoping, shouting and air cond hall.

Why then, as Christian, we worship God and start every Sunday Service with worship?
